It all began…

Hidden Wildflowers fabric shoot

It all began on the day it started to feel official, our first Field Day photoshoot for our first Field Day fabric collection! We chose to shoot in the beautiful Karwarra Australian Native Botanic Garden, nestled in the lush Dandenong Ranges in Victoria, it is one of our favourite gardens to visit and a huge inspiration for our first pattern collection—Hidden Wildflowers.

We partnered with Nerida Hansen Fabrics to produce our original pattern artwork onto a range of beautiful fabric base cloths, including lightweight linen, gauze and soft organic cotton.

We polished up our modelling skills and big cheesy smiles to introduce ourselves—Louise and Shelley, the two artist friends behind Field Day. We had such a blast shooting with the very talented photography duo, Jess and Martin from Amorpho Photography, and with superstar stylist Petrina Turner.
