Makes by you!

We have been so delighted with the response from you—our lovely followers—to our first fabric collection, Hidden Wildflowers. From dresses to bags to pj’s, you guys have jumped on board with our #fielddaymakes hashtag and we couldn’t be more excited to share some of what you’ve created!

We hope you enjoy discovering these talented makers and their makes as much as we did!

Alice created this amazing coordinate set in Buttercup Forest Cotton Sateen. The shirt was based on the bodice of the Lyra dress from Tilly and the Buttons, the trousers are the Portobello Trousers from Nina Lee London and the cherry-on-top little neck tie tutorial can be found on Alice’s fantastic blog.

Alice also co-hosts un:CUT The Makers’ Podcast, which is a sewing delight for all makers, definitely worth a listen!

The talented Renee Boots creates and sells beautiful clutches and bags from her shop, Wattle Cove. We love Buttercup Forest as a clutch!

Sheila made this beautiful Remy Raglan Dress from Sew House Seven in Meander Ivory Lightweight Linen.

by @so_sarah_sewed

Sarah created this lovely top using the Galaxy Tee pattern by Pattern Scissors Cloth in Gather Ochre Jersey. Sarah has also made some beauties in the Gather Blush colourway, so good!

by @_heathermade

We love the planning that goes into Heather’s makes and this birthday dress was no exception! Created using McCalls Tops and Tunic M7325 pattern (slightly modified) in Buttercup Ivory.

by @nzfilmgirl

We thought this pairing by PK Maracin was perfection! The dress is made using Simplicity S7914 with Buttercup Ivory fabric.

We’re still in awe of Alusha’s amazing pattern matching skills—look at that pocket! This creative skirt can be worn two ways (check out Alusha’s Instagram!) and is made in Gather Ochre Cotton Linen. What’s more, Alusha has recently designed three sewing patterns which are available from Nerida Hansen Fabrics!

by @liz_made_it

So perfect for hot summers, this two piece set (or should we say three piece set including the hat?!) by Liz is lush! The self drafted top and skirt, based on a vintage pattern, was made in Gather Ochre. The lovely hat was made using the Serpentine Hat pattern by Elbe Textiles—and it’s definitely got us thinking about making one ourselves!

Agnes is wearing her beautiful Nara Jumper in Gather Blush Jersey and has coordinated it with a tote in Gather Ochre Cotton Linen. Look at that wavy hem skirt! Agnes creates a beautiful array of custom clothing, for more check out her shop Sew Fancy by Agnes.

We love when our fabric ends up on the other side of the world, this one found a home with Britney in Germany via one of our lovely stockists Hello Heidi Fabrics in Switzerland.

‘Bettina (from Hello Heidi Fabrics) introduced the new fabrics from Nerida Hansen and she held this one - with the beautiful name "Field Day Meander Blush"—in the camera. I felt immediately in love and ordered it! Well—then came the question of the perfect pattern. I won’t tell you how many patterns I‘ve picked out and discarded again but there were so many! Who knows?! But then came Alix—the skirt pattern from FibreMood. Saw it, cut it out, sewed it and now he’s my number one.’

We think the Alix Skirt pattern from Fibre Mood is the perfect pattern too! And we love that you enjoyed the name of the design :) we probably spent a bit too much time getting them right!

This is another piece of fabric that made it across the world to Lucy in the United Kingdom! We love these pyjamas made in Early Hours Raspberry Lightweight Linen using the Carolyn Pyjama Pattern by Closet Core Patterns, they are fabulous Lucy!

by @bombazine

Last, but by no means least, who could forget the inspiring make by Bombazine using their beautiful shirt pattern and Early Hours Fog Mid-Weight Cotton?! And it’s not the only one—go to the amazing Bombazine blog to check this shirt out in Meander Rose as well!
